INVESTMENT ADVICE TODAY (WED NOV 11 2015) WHICH YOU CAN USE TOMORROW (NOVEMBER 12 2015)

By Murray Soupcoff

Well, well … generally, North American stock indices have been hemorrhaging red recently, reflecting (1) increased instability in the Middle East & Asia -- can you say “Russian Cuban & Iranian troops in Syria”, boys & girls … or an American destroyer threatening Chinese island-based military installations in the South China sea, and Chinese fighter jets retaliating?

And (2) what about plunging oil prices, shuttered drilling & mining sites, and/or growing bankruptcy notices issued by junior energy companies?

Or (3) how about the declining earnings of many transportation & industrial stocks?

Not to mention (4) the slowdown in Chinese growth & imports, and related recessionary conditions afflicting most developed and emerging economies world-wide?

SO WHAT, YOU COUNTER

Some consequences, reflected in last Monday’s U.S. “market moments” (Monday November 9 2015)?

European equities traded lower on weak Chinese export data.

L Brands was downgraded to "neutral" from "overweight" at JPMorgan Chase, based in part on unfavorable apparel industry trends.

The Dow Jones industrial average traded down 208 points, or 1.16 percent, at 17,700, led lower by IBM

The S&P 500 traded 25 points lower, or 1.2 percent, at 2,074, with consumer discretionary spending leading all sectors lower.

The Nasdaq traded down 61 points ( 1.2 % lower), at 5,085, with Apple Computer continuing its slow but steady metaphorical descent into market hell.

Yes, folks, bad economic times have arrived, and it isn’t a pretty (economic) picture.

Want more proof?

Just read today’s newspaper(s), to get an update on economic reality in your neighborhood and national environs:

First, how about a look at real estate – whether in your neighborhood or nationally [not including high-price luxury ocean-front homes/condos in Florida or Malibu].

Until recently, purported rising housing starts & national property values was one slice of the allegedly surging American economy that had been fueling unjustified optimism (after all, who else but the Obama White House could celebrate -0.1% GDP growth as a sign of impending good times).

Not to mention the rapid escalation in the price of U.S. home-builder stocks, as well as in the American stock market itself.

Wishful thinking breeds blind optimism, escalating losses, and maybe even bankruptcy court.

IS THE PROSPERITY PARTY OVER?

Yes guys & gals (and the transgendered too), it looks like the party is over.

For example, on October 29th, we were informed that American new home sales dropped 11.5% -- the lowest level in 10 months.

Is the U.S. real-estate bubble about to pop? I certainly think so, as does the IMF.

Second, talk to average consumers like your relatives, friends and neighbors (so long as they’re not a member of the much-discussed wealthy 1% crony capitalist elite).

Is it possible, that they’re getting worried, cutting back on all non-essential purchases, as well as fearing that -- for the first time in American history -- the lives of their kids will be worse than their own?

You betcha!

And how can we know? Well nation-wide retail sales are dropping as fast as Hillary Clinton’s “trust” numbers. And on October 30th, we received confirmation that -- during that month -- the most followed consumer confidence index (the Consumer Conference Board Index) plunged from last month’s 102.6 “score”, down to 97.6 in October (despite the more optimistic predictions of the “experts”).

Now even for the month, in which Halloween occurs, that’s pretty SCARY economic numbers!

Third, if you know anyone (but your stock broker) knowledgeable about what’s happening in the U.S. economy, you’ll probably be inundated with complaints that (1) exports are almost as big a disaster as was hurricane Patricia; and (2) the energy sector is currently on the wane (thanks to plunging oil prices, as well as unprecedented – unconstitutional -- EPA regulations impeding growth in energy production & in the refining industry)

Can you say “more lost jobs & rising unemployment are on their way in these economic sectors”, boys & girls?

Not to mention the recent negative news about U.S. durable goods orders. They dropped 1.2% in September; and August’s decline was revised negatively downwards (down 3%, instead of the previously reported 2.3%).

And what do economists mean when they talk about durable goods orders?

Well how about big-ticket items like cars, airplanes, and business computers -- not exactly the playthings of the peasantry in “flyover country”, the politically neglected regions of America: located between Obama’s booming crony-capitalist Washington fiefdom & America’s prosperous “left” coasts.

And what do unbiased economists make of such negative ‘stats’?

They see them as an advance warning of even more factory slowdowns and lay-offs in the economic wasteland that co-presidents Barack Obama & Valerie Jarret have created in America since they took office in 2008.

So what can “know-nothing” market interpreters like myself make of all the above bad economic news (versus the self-labelled economic “experts” on impartial cable channels MS-NBC & CNN)?

Well, for one thing, it looks like the professional class of American stock-market investors (e.g. hedge-fund & mutual-fund managers) are calculating in fear of some unanticipated economic failure in their investment decisions – a possible economic setback occurring pretty well anywhere on our increasingly financially-interconnected planet.

And what does that mean?

They are buying stock options which will make a profit for them, only if the stock market drops a whole, whole lot (and maybe even more that)!

And what is one sign, of current potential economic risk factors, taken very seriously by the investment pros?

Well, the folks at CNBC point to the “CBOE Skew Index”, tallied since 1990.

This measure is up at least 30 percent since the end of September (September 2015).

And that Skew Index reading was higher (at 148.92) than the level it hit last year when stock markets imploded (temporarily anyway) on fears that the Ebola breakout was spreading.

"So (it's a) yellow flag for sure. Stay alert, stay alive!" wrote Roberto Friedlander -- head of equity trading at Brean Capital -- in a note to clients recently about the escalating Skew Index.

In other words, be afraid, very afraid, of what economic calamities may beset us yet!

And what current or recent economic news is underlying these fears?

Well, it could be Monday’s report of declining exports from China -- potentially leading to a drop in that nation’s economic growth and then a decline in its purchases of consumer goods (as well as commodities) from Europe & North America.

And of course, there’s still the lingering worry that the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates next month, beginning a further decline in the American economy.

And for good reason, the investment pros are becoming increasingly worried about the emergence of the new “Axis of Evil” (Russia, Iran & Cuba) in Syria, as well as the “peace-at-any-price” foreign policy of Neville Obama & John Heinz Kerry.

Indeed, the final “legacy” of one of the worst presidents in American history may indeed be what I have previously labelled “global economic & political Armageddon”.

So my own current investment advice (whatever its worth) is still to:

(1) SELL all the stocks you can (without taking unreasonable losses) and immediately convert the proceeds into cash.

AND/OR

(2) If you’re the adventurous type -- and willing to wait at least four years for global stock markets to right themselves again (as they inevitably will) -- invest in the kind of low-risk, cash-rich dividend stocks (paying a sustainable yield) which I’ve recommended in the past.

A RANDOMLY SELECTION OF MY PAST CHOICES

And what were some of those past investment recommendations?

(1) BUY SCANDIUM INTERNATIONAL MINING CORP. ($SCYYF.CA) – NO yield yet, but expected in the future

And please note that this is an Over The Counter (OTC) stock for Americans, usually requiring the service of a licensed broker.

So what the heck is scandium, and why buy a mining company that specializes in extracting this metal from its plentiful land holdings?

Well, in fact, scandium (Sc) is element 21 in the periodic table, a silvery-white metallic transition metal, often classified as a rare earth element (REE), together with yttrium and the 15 lanthanides. Its positive effects on strengthening aluminum alloys was discovered in the 1970’s, and its use in such alloys remains its main application.

Additionally scandium is a key ingredient in the new solid oxide fuel cell market, and in lighting and aerospace components.

But the main application of scandium, by weight, is in aluminum-scandium alloys for select aerospace industry components. These alloys contain between 0.1% and 0.5% of scandium. And they were once were used in Soviet military aircraft (during the “Cold War”), specifically the MiG-21 and MiG-29 and missiles.

Current global usage is small, at around 5tpa.

But despite this low level of use, scandium offers significant benefits:

Particularly promising is the strengthening of aluminum alloys and welded frames with this “alloy, using as little as 0.5% scandium.

And as already mentioned, scandium-stabilized zirconia (SSZ) is highly prized – and priced -- for use as a high-efficiency electrolyte in solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC).

Some items of sports equipment, which rely on high performance materials, have been made with scandium-aluminum alloys, including baseball bats and bicycle frames. And lacrosse sticks are also made with scandium-titanium alloys to take advantage of the strength of titanium.

Most important, Smith & Wesson produces revolvers with frames composed of scandium alloy and cylinders of titanium or carbon steel. Yes, the wonders of entrepreneurial capitalism at work, deriving scandalous profits from America’s much-discussed constitutional “Second Amendment”.

But the real future, for scandium, may be: in wide-screen home TVs.

According to Wikipedia, scandium iodide -- along with sodium iodide –produces a form of metal halide lamp, when added to a modified form of mercury-vapor lamp.

This lamp, in turn, is a white light source with a high-color rendering index that sufficiently resembles sunlight – perfect for use in LCD TVs to provide the most realistic color rendering and near 3-D “affect” available today.

And demand for scandium is expected to grow dramatically along with the development of a reliable supply (provided by, for example, SCANDIUM INTERNATIONAL MINING CORP).

After all, scandium is one of the more valuable of the 17 Rare Earth Elements (REEs), with scandium oxide priced over US$1,500/kg (99.9% purity).

Rare profits for such a rarely-discussed metal!

(2) BUY LABRADOR IRON MINES HOLDINGS LIMITED ($T.LIM ), yielding 5% or more.

Labrador Iron Mines Holdings Limited engages in the exploration, development, and mining of iron ore projects in Canada. The company focuses on the development and production of its 20 direct shipping iron ore projects, known as the Schefferville Projects (located in the Schefferville area of the Canadian province of Labrador).

The corporation holds interests in the Schefferville projects that include 4 mining leases covering approximately 510 hectares; 11 surface leases consisting of approximately 2,008 hectares; and 25 mineral rights licenses covering approximately 15,650 hectares in the provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador.

The company also has interests in 447 mining claims, which comprise approximately 14,342 hectares, as well as an operating license over 142 mining claims covering approximately 2,050 hectares in the Canadian province of Quebec.

As far as I know, this is a company that has never failed to pay its annual divided. And considering today’s beaten-down metal prices, it’s also an appealing purchase for future capital gains -- considering the excellent prospects for the price of iron ore once the Chinese economy makes a comeback (as early as 2017).

(3) BUY PEYTO EXPLORATION & DEVELOPMENT CORP ($PEY), yielding over 4%.

Peyto Exploration and Development Corp is a Canadian-based energy company. And it is, according to the latest annual shareholder report, engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and production of oil & natural gas in Western Canada.

Peyto's wells, gas plants, gathering and sales pipelines exist in a corridor about 200 kilometers long, and 30 kilometers wide, contiguous to the foothills of the Canadian Rockies -- halfway between the Northwest Territories and the United States.

Peyto operates in three core areas, namely the Greater Sundance, Smoky/Kakwa and Cutbank areas of Alberta, Canada.

Thanks to beaten down energy prices, this company's shares are currently selling at bargain-basement prices – as compared to a mere two years ago.

If you’re willing to be patient, and hang on for the long-term, try it -- you’ll probably really like it three to four years from now (considering the cumulative dividend payments & potential capital gains you've likely collected by then)!

(4) BUY BORALEX INC. ($BLX.T), yielding over 3.5%

Boralex Inc. is a Canada-based power producer whose core business is dedicated to the development and operation of renewable energy power stations.

It operates business in four segments: wind, hydroelectric, thermal & solar.

These operating assets, located in France and Canada, are unique because their profitability (and viability) is buttressed by long-term energy sales contracts.

The Hydroelectric segment consists of hydroelectric assets totaling an installed capacity of approximately 100 MegaWatts.

Additionally, Boralex recently entered the solar-power market with the commissioning of its first solar-power farm (located in Southwestern France) with an installed capacity of 5 megawatts.

And, finally, Boralex owns three thermal power stations with a total installed capacity of 80 megawatts.

Of course, everyone needs electricity, meaning that power utilities -- like this one -- usually prosper.

And the utility sector is the one North American market segment that is least impacted by frequent but range-bound market crashes (which are now rapidly occurring)

So if you invest in this electric company now, you’ll probably get a “charge” out of the annual sustainable dividend – along with some tasty capital gains when the market ultimately recovers.

And that’s it for today. Nuff said, for now, I would guess.

R.I.P -- TRUTH & OBJECTIVITY WITHIN THE LIBERAL MEDIA HERD

--The Conservative-Media Revolution Has Forced the Liberal Media to Abandon Any Pretense of Objectivity

By Rush Limbaugh

When I arrived in New York City -- 28 years ago -- to begin my national radio program, see my objective was to have the most-listened-to show in the country.

At that time, viagra 60mg the national broadcast media included three television networks and CNN. That was it. There were 125 radio stations doing talk radio, view and I started on 56 of them. No one had ever succeeded in syndicating a national daytime radio show, and I was predicted to fail, too. But I didn’t.

What was different about my show was that I was the only conservative voice in national broadcast media. I was it — just as National Review was the only major conservative magazine being published and read.

I traveled 45 weekends each year for the first two years of my show to solidify my radio-affiliate relationships. Think Donald Trump’s stump appearances, 45 weekends a year in cities all across America.

Crowds ranged from 2,500 to 10,000 or more. I made fun of liberals, espoused and explained conservatism, and promoted traditional American values.

And audiences ate it up; they had been starved for it. In 1991, my substitute hosts were offered their own national shows as other syndicators got in on the action. Local-radio stations all over the country switched format to talk and hired conservative hosts.

Today, there are more than 2,500 stations doing talk radio, the vast majority of which lean conservative.

There is Fox News, which debuted in 1997. There is the conservative blogosphere, and there are more conservative websites than you can count.

In 1992, I began hosting a national TV show and continued to do so for the next four years. Think The Daily Show, except that I was conservative and did not interview guests. There was nothing like it on TV, just as there was nothing like my radio show.

So this has not been an AM-radio revolution exclusively; it has been a conservative-media revolution.

And perhaps its greatest consequence has been the destruction of the Left’s national-media monopoly.

Here are a few highlights: In 1990, one of my dreams came true. William F. Buckley Jr. invited me to his home to attend an editors’ dinner, befriended me, and remained my friend until his death. I loved WFB, and his friendship and support sustain me to this day.

In 1993, while aboard Air Force One, President Clinton called my St. Louis affiliate, KMOX, to complain that I had three hours each day on the radio and that there was no truth-detector responding to me. The conservative-media revolution has caused the liberal media to abandon any pretense of objectivity and fairness and actively advocate on the Left’s behalf.

Also in 1993, Clinton, at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, called me a racist for the way I had criticized John Conyers’s attack on Janet Reno in a congressional hearing about the FBI’s raid of the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas. “Rush only defended her because she was being attacked by a black guy,” Clinton said.

The room reacted with stunned silence. I have not bothered to attend the dinner since.

In 1994, Republicans won the House of Representatives for the first time in 40 years. I was made an honorary member of the GOP freshman class and was asked to speak at its orientation.

I warned them that the media were not happy, would not treat them as victors, and would do their best to secure Republican defeat in 1996.

In 1995, Clinton -- in a national address -- tried to blame me for the Oklahoma City bombing. He spoke of “loud, angry voices in America,” a remark that was widely interpreted as a reference to me. The White House later made the incredible claim that Clinton had been talking about Michigan Militia shortwave-radio communications.

In 2007, Senate majority leader Harry Reid asked that my syndicator, Clear Channel, make me apologize for calling a phony soldier a phony soldier. Mark May, the CEO of Clear Channel, bravely let me have Reid’s letter, and I auctioned it on eBay as proof of a United States senator’s attempt to bully a private citizen for exercising his freedom of speech.

I promised to match the purchase price of the letter and donate the total to the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Fund. The price ended up being an unbelievable $2.1 million dollars, so the total donation was $4.2 million. Thank you, Dingy Harry.

On January 16, 2009, the Wall Street Journal asked me to write 400 words on my hopes for the Obama presidency. I told them I needed only four: “I hope he fails.”

A firestorm erupted, even among my friends. I stood by my words, proudly. It’s too bad they didn’t come true.

In 2009, at his first meeting at the White House with congressional leaders, President Obama told House speaker John Boehner and the Republican congressional leadership that they should “stop listening to Rush Limbaugh,” since “that’s not how things get done in Washington.” I met with Boehner in my office in Florida a couple of weeks later. He confirmed the president’s statement and remarked, “We have no idea why he said that to us.” I said to him, “John, he wanted just one of you to leave that meeting, go to the microphones, and denounce me.”

And there is much more, with its consequences unmistakable: I firmly believe that the conservative-media revolution has caused the liberal media to abandon any pretense of objectivity and fairness and actively advocate on the Left’s behalf.

This has led in turn to the hyper-partisan nature of our politics today. When Republicans were perennial losers and happy about it, the media could stay hidden behind their wall of phony objectivity. But they were called out.

Now there is a fierce competition for the hearts and minds of the American people, which the Left used to believe it owned. So it is not I, nor anyone else in conservatism, who is to blame for the partisanship in Washington. That is on the Democrats and the Left, for trying to destroy the traditions and institutions that have defined this country.

We stand in defense of this great nation, and we always will. And we look forward to the Republican party’s someday joining us!

R.I.P -- TRUTH & OBJECTIVITY WITHIN THE LIBERAL MEDIA HERD

--The Conservative-Media Revolution Has Forced the Liberal Media to Abandon Any Pretense of Objectivity

By Rush Limbaugh

When I arrived in New York City -- 28 years ago -- to begin my national radio program, rx my objective was to have the most-listened-to show in the country.

At that time, buy the national broadcast media included three television networks and CNN. That was it. There were 125 radio stations doing talk radio, erectile and I started on 56 of them.

POOR PARIS

By Jeremy Rosen, abortion with permission of the author

“Israel is the greatest threat to peace in the world.”

A Flash Eurobarometer survey carried out in October 2003 for the European Commission -- in the fifteen member states of the EU -- found that nearly 60% of European citizens believe: Israel poses the biggest threat to world peace.

The survey was carried out by EOS Gallup Europe: “The one socio-demographic characteristic that stands out is education – the more highly educated respondents (66%) are more likely to perceive Israel as a threat to world peace than those who ceased their studies at an earlier age (“16-20”: 59% and “15 and younger”: 50%).”

After Paris you might think there would be some soul searching as to why such opinions are so prevalent in Europe -- and increasingly in the USA -- and why other much more murderous and dysfunctional people, countries, price and religions are not considered to be so dangerous.

But of course you and I know there will not. Because any attempt to send hate preachers, or undesirables back home will be blocked, as they have been in the UK by protracted legal disputes and in the European Court of Human Rights. So we will have a few clichés, a token closing of the border, some arrests, and then back to blaming Israel again (as indeed Sweden’s foreign minster already has).

Let us take it as read (for argument’s sake, of course, because neither I nor the facts agree with the following) that there were never any Jews or Israelites living in the Middle East before the rise of Islam. That the only reason Jews feel any connection to Israel is because of Zionism. That the only reason Jews are in Israel is because the imperialist crusading powers foisted the Balfour Declaration on them. The only reason Israel is in the Middle East is because the Holocaust gave the West such a guilty conscience that it tried to salve it by foisting this alien population on the Arab world. There were no Jewish Arabs, no Jewish communities living in the Middle East ever in the past who had nothing to do with the Holocaust, and they had all left Arab lands voluntarily and without coercion.

All the wars and all the occupations were caused exclusively by Israel. Israel never voluntarily withdrew from any Arab territory and were never interested in or willing to make peace.

Let us accept Israel is the one and only source of all the evil, dysfunction, and mayhem that exists in the Middle East today. And finally, let us admit that without the United States support Israel would have disappeared ages ago and that the United States is the evil Satan above all others whose wars have killed more Muslims than Muslims themselves have.

All of the preceding is the narrative that political opponents of Israel believe.

Even so, all this alone cannot explain why Israel is so hated. You may legitimately wonder why Israel has been picked on so exclusively for condemnation. Sixty percent of all motions passed in the United Nations agencies are reserved for Israel, and no other country receives more than 2% negative motions.

I have no argument with labelling produce from occupied territory. But why is Israel’s reluctant occupation the only one anywhere in the world that is selected for specific export labelling, not China over Tibet, Russia over Crimea, Moroccan-occupied Western Sahara, India over Kashmir, or indeed Spain over Catalonia (to give just a few examples).

The answer is obvious. There are four good reasons. There are over 1.5 billion Muslims and only 14 million Jews. From almost every economic, political, and logical point of view, it makes sense to side with such a powerful, wealthy body of opinion.

Secondly, at least half the western world inclines to a left-wing political and intellectual viewpoint. Marxism has always been opposed to religion, and when it suits them they can condemn Israel as a religious state (as if all the other religious states did not exist).

Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, there is no other worldwide political cause to rally round than that of anti-Israelism.

The first and second reasons combine in the third factor: Marxism has always preached taking advantage of alliances, even with ones most bitter foes, in order to achieve power. Just recall Stalin’s pact with Hitler.

In much of Europe today the demographics of anti-Israelism means that socialist parties wishing to achieve power as in Belgium ( the favorite bolt hole and source of arms of terrorists in Europe), ally themselves with fundamentalist Islam, which stands for everything they despise: free speech, separation of state and religion, gay rights, women rights, and equal rights of other religions. Not only, but if the State of Israel advocates such causes, the Left argues it is only to deflect criticism, not out of genuine conviction.

Fourth is the long history of right-wing fascist anti-Semitism and prejudice illustrated by the Ku-Klux-Klan-like websites on Google, or letters to the press excoriating Jewish control of the world.

Finally, the pervasive religious based anti-Semitism. Despite all the efforts of churches and governments to proscribe, it still flourishes.

Much of the Christian world adopts an anti-Israel narrative, seeing Palestinians as innocents and Jews as guilty. Jesus was a Palestinian is their narrative. But of course there are other Christians, notably the Evangelicals, whose support for Israel balances the one-sided biases of most Episcopalians and Quakers.

Since such opposition is not based on logic or fact, it must rely essentially on irrational prejudice stoked by a pervasive black-versus-white narrative. If you are a student at a university where most of your contemporaries are apathetic or focused on careers and the active political groups and academics are solidly anti-Israel, or you are drinking in a pub with friends, or at business dinner where anti-Semitic or anti-Israel remarks are the norm, you will either fade into the background or join the rabble.

Europe’s tragedy is that it will not differentiate between those who wish to immigrate and settle in order to be part of its grand, idealistic vision and those who actively want to undermine and replace it.

But whatever tragedy happens, it changes nothing. Here is Niall Ferguson, the Laurence A. Tisch Professor of History at Harvard, a Senior Fellow of the Hoover Institution, Stanford:
“It is doubtless true to say that the overwhelming majority of Muslims in Europe are not violent. But it is also true that the majority hold views not easily reconciled with the principles of our liberal democracies, including our novel notions about sexual equality and tolerance not merely of religious diversity but of nearly all sexual proclivities. And it is thus remarkably easy for a violent minority to acquire their weapons and prepare their assaults on civilization within these avowedly peace-loving communities.

“I do know that 21st-century Europe has itself to blame for the mess it is now in. When I went up to Oxford …We learnt a lot of nonsense to the effect that nationalism was a bad thing, nation states worse and empires the worst things of all.

‘Romans before the fall’, wrote Ward-Perkins, ‘were as certain as we are today that their world would continue forever substantially unchanged. They were wrong. We would be wise not to repeat their complacency.’

“Poor, poor Paris. Killed by complacency."

So if you listen to the French media today, after the Paris massacres, you will still hear it said that the chaos in the Middle East is all Israel’s fault. The Hamas websites, of course, claim the Paris massacres are the work of Mossad. And Russia supports them.

The Swedish foreign minister says it is only because of the way Israel treats the Palestinians.

What the heck is wrong with these people? Anything but look into their own failures. Are they really suicidal or just mentally challenged? As if Israel were the cause of the Sunni-Shia rift or the Turkish oppression of the Kurds or the Muslim massacres of Christians. It is so easy to find a scapegoat. They have been doing it for 50 years, why would they want to stop now?

Prejudice is not logical. Anti-Israelism is not logical. The crude visceral hatred, the screaming interruptions on college campuses or cultural events -- that do not want to hear another point of view -- are the symptoms of a destructive virus that every now and again infects huge swathes of otherwise normal, fair, and balanced human beings.

And sadly I accept we have our own screaming houris and fanatics of the right. Action and reaction again.

So, no, I do not think Paris will change anything: security forces will share information, try their best to avoid new disasters but the culture of Europe will not, seemingly cannot change. Europe is condemned to reap the whirlwind of its own blindness. The virus is too deeply embedded. No one whose ideas were formed by prejudice will change their views any more than most genocidal murders really know how to express regret.

The story goes that God gave up trying to change the world after Noah’s flood. But we were left with the rainbow to remind us to look and connect.
Perhaps that is why humanity is such a mess—not because it repeats the wrong things but because it forgets!

THE CHICKENS OF COMMUNISM HAVE COME HOME TO ROOST
-- If People Fail To Understand The Concept Of Big Brother Government And The Welfare State, cure Forgetting Patriotism, healing Cultural Heritage, And History, All Freedoms Will Vanish!

By Dr. Ileana Johnson Paugh

The chickens of intolerance and communist social justice have come home to roost on the American campus. Decades of Marxist indoctrination by the vaunted communist academia are finally paying off—our cultural heritage is replaced by cultural Marxism and primitive cultures that are deemed superior to ours and worshipped.

Academia has been blotting out the past and revising history for a while, but with increased vengeance since Jimmy Carter founded the U.S. Department of Education on October 17, 1979.

Our children’s education has depreciated considerably since then, as evidenced by test scores and the quality of mis-educated youth in our country who can barely read or write a complete and coherent paragraph. But their fingers still fly on Twitter in hashtags and 140 characters, as they stare constantly -- like robotic drones -- into illuminated smart devices.

The urban dictionary defines cultural Marxism as “The gradual process of destroying all traditions, languages, religions, individuality, government, family, law and order in order to re-assemble society in the future as a communist utopia. This utopia will have no notion of gender, traditions, moralty, God or even family or the state.”

Of course, there is no shortage of what Lenin called “useful idiots” -- with brains addled by drugs and agitated by paid Alinsky-style community organizers -- to lap up this pedagogical garbage in our schools & colleges.

In fact, today’s “useful idiots” are easily manipulated individuals without a compass, without a country, with allegiance to global citizenship and Mother Gaia -- naive humans ruled by emotion and devoid of rational thinking.

In turn, they are used skillfully to implement cultural Marxism, to disseminate poisonous ideas, chaos, decadence, and worthless entertainment parading as art.

For example, currently spreading around our nation is the “Black Lives Matter” movement.

And on the payroll of elitist billionaires, these paid agitators & useful idiots want to change society by proselytizing today’s vision of utopian global Marxism.

In turn, they have taken over campuses around the country, making outrageous demands of administrators who – in response -- shockingly acquiesced without a whimper, or resigned with a golden parachute.

The university, the bastion of freedom of speech and assembly, of tolerance, of diversity, caved like a house of cards to the demands of a few crazed lunatics -- rusted 60s wheels squeaking the loudest with the same worn-out Marxist drivel.

Why exactly are we sending our children to college? Are we paying overpriced tuition to transform them into radicals crying racism, bigotry, and manufactured white privilege -- in the most tolerant country in the world -- while they take full advantage of minority grants, minority scholarships, affirmative action, and quotas?

How did we reach such a point where waves of protest across the country are turning upside down the former bastions of higher education into a grotesque and intolerant self-segregating quagmire?

Recently, “The Black Justice League” at Princeton demanded that (1) any building named after former President Woodrow Wilson be renamed, and (2) a safe space be created “dedicated specifically to Black students,” (3) immediately begin offering “classes on the history of marginalized peoples”, as well as (4) offering “affinity housing” for people interested in "black housing.”

Appallingly, Princeton’s current President agreed!

Whatever happened to exposing students to other points of view? What happened to tolerance of divergent opinions? Is the majority going to be ignored while listening only to those who threaten and bully? Aren’t people tired of faux accusations of bigotry, white privilege, and racism?

Are we going to revise now the entire history of the United States because someone along the way must have been offended, and that offensive historical occurrence must be redressed now by wiping out or removing those reminders from textbooks?

Are we going to empty out museums, bulldoze monuments, and burn libraries?

Aren’t these demands a thinly veiled attempt to impose the Black Justice League’s unilateral narrative upon all undergraduates via the core curriculum?

But, in fact, isn’t racially segregated housing illegal and morally questionable, counter to the values of American society?

Why indeed are we stifling academic freedom and reversing years of race-relations progress?

Yuri Alexandrovich Bezmenov, a KGB propagandist and defector, was interviewed by G. Edward Griffin in 1984. During this lengthy interview, Bezmenov explained the method of “ideology subversion”, a form of psychological warfare, a deliberate sabotage that changes the subjects’ perception of reality.

This method of KGB brainwashing was so successful that -- in the face of ample evidence, documentation, facts, and knowledge – students, and other “useful idiots”, still believed what their handlers told them.

Bezmenov described how this massive brainwashing by design occurred in four stages:

The first stage was demoralization. Teachers had to educate three generations and expose them to Marxist-Leninist ideology without a counter-balance of American values. To a demoralized person, facts have no meaning even when they are showered with authentic information.

Bezmenov said, “If I take them and show them the concentration camps in the Soviet Union, they would not believe me until the boot of reality kicked them in the rear end.”

To reverse this trend – into a normal generation which believes in American values, common sense, culture, and patriotism -- one would need at least 15 years, he added.

Most people who were educated in the 1960s are now in positions of power. They were programmed to act a certain way even when exposed to accurate information. The process of demoralization is irreversible, he said.

A subverter needs 2-5 years to engage in the second stage of ideology subversion called destabilization. During this stage, the entire nation is destabilized through the economy, through foreign relations, and defense.

The third stage of ideology subversion is called crisis and it usually lasts about six weeks.

The fourth stage is called normalization, when “all the shmucks that eliminated the free market competition are now in power.” By then, the country is at war with itself and in chaos.

Once this level is reached, Americans will have nowhere to escape, said Bezmenov.

Who are the “useful idiots” who aid and abet this psychological subversion?

They are the academia, media, actors, movie makers, power-elite narcissists -- people with no scruples and no conscience; people filled with self-importance who think that they matter a lot; greedy crony capitalists; and politicians who will look you in the eye, smile, and lie to you.

These “useful idiots” are helpful in the destabilization stage, but are expendable afterwards, explained Bezmenov.

But a warning to the American people: if we fail to understand the concept of Big Brother Government and the Welfare State -- forgetting patriotism, American cultural heritage, and history -- all freedoms will vanish!
