The biggest threat to Iraq's long-term stability is not ISIS, according to General Petraeus, who conceived and led the successful U.S. "surge" during the Iraq War -- defeating AL-Quaeda forces and driving them out of Iraq during the final battle.
Instead, in an interview with the "Washington Post", Petraeus warned that the Iran-backed Shiite militias, who are leading the current battle against ISIS in Iraq, are "the foremost threat" to long-term stability in that nation.
