ECO CHICANERY AT ITS WORST
Soylyndra-style wind turbines are about to “power up” (as electrical output concomitantly goes down) in Ontario -- Canada’s most populous province.
Like Californians before them, residents of Ontario can look forward to soaring energy costs and humongous budget deficits, while “progressive” crony-capitalists -- like George Soros & his business friends – rake in big bucks thanks to rigged government subsidies for their “environment-friendly” initiatives.
But for once, ordinary citizens have had enough and are fighting back ... thanks to the backing of Canada’s home-grown conservative cable channel, “The Sun News Network.”
FIGHTING BACK AGAINST THE ELITIST CAUCASIAN OTTAWA & TORONTO ESTABLISHMENT IN CANADA; HOW CAN ANYONE DO THAT?
Using the same “crowd sourcing” financing techniques that have allowed conservative filmmakers, like Dinesh Dsouza, to bankroll their conservative documentary films, the Sun News Network has filmed “DOWN WIND”, an anti-turbine-power (aka anti-green) documentary film which will premiere on this Canadian cable channel on June 4th 2014 (at 8:00 P.M. ET ).
According to Sun News channel, ‘Down Wind’ is a “tell-all film that deals head on with how Ontario politicians rammed through green energy laws and dashed forward with the installation of thousands of wind turbines across the province's farmland and countryside.”
Further, according to Sun News, the film exposes “how the lights of liberty went out for Ontario citizens who were deeply opposed to wind turbine projects in their localities”.
And if you’re looking for “good guys” to cheer for, this documentary regals us with the personal stories of “RURAL WARRIORS NOW FIGHTING FOR THEIR RIGHTS, HEALTH & HAPPINESS” (emphasis my own).
OH NO, THIS SOUNDS LIKE DEJA VU, IN CALIFORNIA, ALL OVER AGAIN
Now, without giving away too much about this Canadian documentary film, let me rhetorically ask American readers whether any of the following sounds just a bit familiar (shades of Solydra!):
First off, “Down Wind” uses official government documents to debunk the Ontario Liberal government's argument (ie, propaganda) which asserts that wind power is economically & environmentally sound.
Specifically, it (a) points to humongous subsidy costs for “wind power” in Ontario;
(b) This documentary film reveals the soaring cost of a fossil-fuel (e.g, natural gas) “back-up system” to keep Ontario’s power output at normal levels, when mother nature intervenes and winds subside for hours, days or even weeks.
And further (c) what would a news story like this be without sordid tales of illegal political contributions and lobbying by the same greedy “crony-capitalist” crowd who almost bankrupted the state of California with their “green” initiatives (“can you say ‘Solyndra’ and George Soros, boys and girls?”)
SO WHAT DO I THINK OF ALL THIS POLITICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CHICANERY
In my opinion, this is definitely a documentary worth watching to remind all of us (1) why the mendacious Liberal government of Ontario – responsible for soaring electrical costs & record deficits, in what was once Canada’s best-governed province under Conservative leader Mike Harris – should be defeated in the impending provincial election;
(2) A reminder to American readers what is coming to a city or state near you, once Barack Obama’s now celebrated (by the NY Times) EPA greenhouse-gas restrictions -- for power plants -- kick in.
COULD IT BE THAT BARACK OBAMA IS THE WORST PRESIDENT IN AMERICAN HISTORY, PERIOD?
As I’ve already noted on this Facebook page, President Obama has pretty well lost every war his administration has engaged in, since he came to power.
Not to mention his latest delusional prisoner swap with the Taliban – trading one dishonorable American military deserter for the “top-five” murderous Gitmo residents.
So what does the White House do, as a distraction?
America’s community-organizer-in-chief, Barack Obama, unilaterally declares WAR on COAL!
BUT WHAT CAN AN ORDINARY CANADIAN OR AMERICAN CITIZEN DO TO REMEDY THESE OUTRAGES?
Well, let’s all vow to throw every one of these political bums out in the next elections (in Ontario & the U.S.)
